KJ's Day Off

Thursdays are fun at our house because they are KJ's day off.  Ella is always so excited when KJ tells her he will be staying home all day.  KJ arranged for me to go have my haircut this morning, which it desperately needed.  Ella went with me, and we had a good time.  Not only did I get my hair cut, but I got my first highlights.  The girls at the salon all said I had "virgin hair" because it had never had anything put on it.  I was thrilled with the results.  Thank you, Gilda!

I don't know if you can see the lighter streaks in this picture, but
hooray for blonding gel!

Today is also James' 9 month birthday.  James has been very busy this month.  He has moved to eating mostly solid foods.  He loves carrots, black-eye peas, mashed potatoes, green peas, and green beans.  He's also had banana, grapes, peaches, hamburger, chicken, and hot dogs.  I am so proud of him and so excited to have a child who will eat a variety of food.  He learned to crawl this past month, and is pulling up and trying to climb on everything.  He sucks on his thumb from time to time, loves to sing and dance, and is PRECIOUS.
