Day 1- Arab Here We Come

On the road again...

First of all, I am really having a hard time getting used to large computer screens and wide keyboards.  I have a very small laptop that I use at home, but KJ took it to Brazil, and the desktop is a weird experience now.  The font I'm using looks so different, but I do like the much bigger pictures.
KJ left this morning for his very long day of travelling to Brazil.  Of course we had one of those adventurous nights last night where both kids woke up at different times, and then I finally went back to sleep only to wake myself up coughing.  Fun times.  Poor KJ didn't start out the day well rested.  Ella woke me up at 6:30 this morning, telling me in a very excited voice that daddy was going to "a-zil."  Later that morning she was not as happy, covering her face with her hands and wailing, "I don't know what I'm going to doooo...".  She's very melodramatic.

Saying Good-Bye

For some reason, this computer is not allowing me to align my text to the left, so the rest of this post may be centered.  We had a really good morning after KJ left.  Mama T. came and took Ella to her house to play with John David, and James took a great morning nap, so I was able to think clearly while I packed the million and one things you have to carry with you when you travel with a baby and preschooler.  Thankfully, we had a really good trip.  James napped and watched Ella, and Ella colored and watched a movie and read some books.  They each had one minor breakdown from sitting still for two hours, but most of the journey was uneventful, and I was glad.  I am probably going to post a lot more pictures than I normally would so my travelling husband won't miss too much.

Coloring at Debo's

James loves Ella's markers.

Eating dinner is fun at Grandma's house.
James had his first graham cracker and some creamed corn.
I love having a good eater!

This is Ella's favorite cup to drink out of at B.P. and Debo's.
My dad brought it back from Morroco.

Bonding with B.P.

I am so thankful to be able to visit with my parents for a few days.  I am going to try to have as much fun as possible while KJ is gone to keep from being sad.  I hope everyone will enjoy our many adventures in Arab.  We love and miss you already, KJ, but we gladly send you to share the good news about Jesus with the children who have yet to hear.

  1. Great post, Lynn! Yes, I'm sure we will most certainly enjoy viewing your Arab adventures. We are praying for K.J. while he is gone, and for you guys as you miss him and try to survive without Daddy. It's hard, I know. Love to you all! (I'm so glad James is a good eater! Ella looks so big with her "favorite cup." And I LOVE the pictures of the kids with K.J.!)
