Good Friday

I had to look in the King James Version of the Bible this morning to find the words that were running through my head:

"...the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said,

'Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you..."

1 Corinthians 11:23b-24a

I was thinking about and feeling the brokenness of so many things in this world this morning and was encouraged to remember that Jesus was broken for us.
